Week of Duck & Dog Photos - May 31st to June 6th

We are continuing to work on the duck pond.

The process is taking a lot longer than I thought it would.  We are currently working on lining the pond with bentonite, then the next step is adding a layer of dirt.  

The other big news...

I found out a couple of pictures of my ducks are going to be included in Lisa Steele's  new duck book, Duck Eggs Daily.  You can preorder the book on amazon.

I have a dream of writing a book someday, and to have my pictures included in a book is also really exciting and I think this is going to be a great book!  I can't wait for the book to come out.

Ever since Prim has become semi-broody (she sits on her egg for half of the day), she tries to chase me out of the duck run.  She is the littlest duck in the group but she has the biggest personality.  She puts her head down and charges me, then when she realizes she doesn't scare me, she turns around and runs the other way.

Rue and Olive are getting HUGE!  All of the big ducks, except Prim, are afraid of the babies, which seems so strange.  How can all of these great big ducks be afraid of two little ducks?
