Happy New Year to Everyone!
Our Big news at Duck Duck Dog is that Apple has started to lay eggs!
For the past week, Apple has laid an egg almost every day. I see this as a sign that she is happy and feeling better. Although the news we got from the vet wasn't great news, the vet thinks that Apple is missing a tendon in her leg, possibly a birth defect. Since she is missing this tendon, she will likely never be able to walk very well. We are still working to give her a happy, pain free life. She gets baths every night, and loves to gobble up mealworms during her bath time. I'm also hoping my talented husband will be able to make her a little ducky walker.
We moved to our property a year ago and we are still working to get the land in shape. I have been looking at the seed catalogs this last week and dreaming of having a garden this summer.
Tobey was studying the seed catalog too!
