Rocco, our doberman mix, was recently diagnosed with bone cancer. A little over a month ago he had to have one of his front legs amputated and now he receives chemo infusions each month (his sister, Hannah was diagnosed with cancer last year and also receives chemo).
He was a little slow to recover and we had started to worry that we had made the wrong decision in having his leg amputated, but the last couple weeks he has really started to bounce back. Rocco is now running, playing, catching, fetching, playing in the water and he has even found a way to continue to dig in the field to try to catch moles.
He still gets worn out easily but we are so happy that he is starting to run and play like he used to do before the amputation.
